I gave the cleanliness a 4 star rating because the outside sitting area of the naked crab restaurant was a little rough ( broken light fixtures, a burnt outlet with wires hanging over out and bird droppings on the bars above the dining tables).The rest of the property was stellar!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort over a long weekend. We were in town for a local event, so didn't get to spend as much time at the beach as we would have liked, but did get to enjoy the pool and lazy river, which were very clean and inviting. Hotel staff were friendly, and their text service for the valet was very helpful. Our suite was beautiful, we loved the balcony view and the living room we could relax in. The beds were very comfortable, too. Our one major issue was the shower, the water was scalding hot no matter how you adjusted the temperature, on our 2nd day the handle broke off and we had to figure out how to get it back on to be able to work the shower. Even then, we only had hot water. We texted staff about this, but never heard back from them, so we alerted the front desk at checkout. This was our only negative during our stay. We had a lovely breakfast on the terrace and really appreciated the infused water at the front desk. The hotel is in a great location as well, on the beach and close to many fun restaurants and shops. We look forward to returning to the Pelican Grand the next time we're in Fort Lauderdale."
