The hotel is beautiful and the employees are super friendly. They do automatically add an 18% onto your bill for dining. Los Angles has defiantly become full of closed down stores, no police anywhere, the smell of urine on the sidewalks, empty stores that once attracted large amounts of tourists. I will not be returning to California ever again.

My first time staying at the W in Hollywood. What an absolute treat. From the moment you walk in the lobby has a great layout. Very open and pleasing on the eyes. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and made me feel excited that I had chosen to stay here. The room was a perfect size, had a Bluetooth speaker as well which was a nice touch. There was a little table with a booth like wrap around seating. Never seen that but enjoyed it. The pool was awesome. Drinks and food at the pool, at the bar downstairs, at the restaurant inside, all delicious. I have never felt more taken care of and welcomed in a hotel like I did in the W. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you W Hollywood.

My wife and I came to the W to celebrate my 1 year recovery from brain surgery & return to work. We intentionally booked a room so we could have a nice dinner locally and not have to drive home. We planned to make a pool day of it the second day. However, the entire pool area was bought out, and the staff asked us to move as they took our seats. We were offered a refund of our destination fee - which we had already been refunded due to being Expedia members. Incredibly disappointed in the poor communication and ruining such a special celebration we planned.

I have stayed with this hotel in a different location and was very much looking forward to staying in it again because of how brilliant it was in Edinburgh. We had to switch rooms at 11pm because our AC unit wasn’t working and the heat kept rising. We weren’t offered a free water/snack, like the other guest who checked in before us were. They had an automatic gratuity added to the bill in the restaurant, which wasn’t told to us until the second time we went, after we had already paid and given an extra 10% on top of the automatic 18% gratuity that’s added on to all checks. I was very disappointed with the stay.
