Compare Hotels with Kitchenettes in Puerto Rico

"The resort facilities are very impressive. The activities were excellent. Going to the island each day rather than the hotel pools is how I would spend my vacation there if I were to go again. The resort pools are great but the island is excellent. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. However food service and food quality in general was underwhelming. I would not recommend room service or Sicilia. There are great restaurants offsite. I would recommend them over the resort if seeking an upscale meal. They’re fine for sandwiches, pizza, and breakfast. The Secret Room is a must. Great show. The bioluminescence tour is apparently hit or miss. If you go there, or frankly anywhere, use an Uber. Cheaper every time and very responsive. If you go to dinner locally or to the Bioluminescence tour it will cost you $6-7. If you use their service it will cost you $60. One last point I want to make and I feel this is important to take into consideration when you’re booking a room. If you are seeking an Ocean view and they put you in the building overlooking the harbor, it’s important to know that they are renovating a set of rooms from the hurricane destruction. They are using pneumatic Jack hammers for construction and will start at 8 am and it goes on alllll day. Not on Saturday or Sunday. Beautiful view. If not for the construction worth every penny."

"When I checked in the front desk staff was amazing (Melysa and William) along with the other front desk employees, they made us feel really welcome. The room was great, the AC was perfect, I just wish there was a rack to hang out wet clothes it was hard to dry anything. The pool was awesome it was so beautiful, clean, and had warm water, along with the bar very nice and friendly. The breakfast was okay. The only complaint I had overall was the housekeeper named Mitchel. She was beyond disrespectful, I thought it was an adult only no kids allowed and it definitely felt like I was dealing with one. Between getting confused and knocking the door very loud to the point I thought it was the cops knocking. When I said we don't need anything she stated "next time you call downstairs I'm not going to come back", she was showing me text between their job group chat. I was Applaud by this. Never in all my years traveling have I've ever had such a bad experience with a housekeeper. There was glass next to my door outside and she took about two hours to clean it. Someone could have gotten really hurt but the lack of professionalism was out of this world. Since this happened back to back with Mitchel, I would rate this experience 3/5. I will definitely not come back nor recommend this place. "
