Great place, very beautiful, clean, and staff was extremely helpful and kind. A few grips, which is the prices for items in the market, with not much to choose from. No free shuttle to airport, and not much entertainment on the grounds. We had to go out for good entertainment such as casino, mall, site see, live music, dancing. Also, not many good channels to watch on TV.

The resort waa beautiful and our riom was amazing however there was no activities to do on the premises. There was no real concierge. The beach was terrible!! The beach water was NOT BLUE it was full of seaweed and lots of rocks/big rocks so it made it dangerous to even goninto the beach water. The restaurants on the premises were good but very very expensive!! The breakfast buffet waa $63 for 2 adults bwhich waa ridiculous. The mandatory 16% automatically added tip plus all the taxea was crazy. While the beauty of the resort and our room was amazing qe would never return. It rained for 3 days out of 4 days it was a boring vacation. We did take one day to do an excursion to old san juan and the company on the premises organized it for $120 we presumed we would get a tour guide for the price we paid b ut all we got was a driver who just dropped us off and picked us up. It was a rip off!!

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve for our honeymoon and we cannot say enough positive things about it!! We had an Oceanside room. It was spotless clean. The staff was SO friendly — especially the bellboys who drive you around the resort. Food was fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again!!

The staff was hit or miss because the hotel adds on a gratuity for everything at a minimum of 16% so some staff didn't do much. We did tip extra for people that were attentive. We did not use room service or get our rooms cleaned for the 5 days we were there. The Hyatt also automatically charges gratuities upon leaving for their guests to pay their employees salaries. Please be aware of the booking price....be aware that you will be paying $100/night extra on top of the booking fees.
