If you love wildflowers, then July is a great time to plan Denver travel even though it can get fairly hot with 90 degree temperatures. Also visit the Rocky Mountains, where cooler temperatures make hiking and camping more comfortable, and the views are spectacular. Denver vacations are typically sunny and mild from May until August. Autumn months are great for milder temperatures and attending Denver's fun outdoor festivals. Keep in mind that in September Denver can have sudden cold temperatures.
