The BART rapid rail is one of the easiest ways to get to the San Francisco International (SFO) Airport. With pick-ups from a variety of locations in San Mateo County, it is simple to connect from the BART to the AirTran with a direct line to the airport.
Typical flight times are a little over five hours to Tampa International Airport (TPA). When you arrive, check out the bus stop at the end of the Red Baggage Claim or the Red Coach that heads to Miami and Tallahassee from the Ground Transportation Center Blue 2.
Segway tours are a popular choice for getting a look around Tampa. Take time to explore downtown Tampa, check out some of the surrounding islands, and sometimes a celebrity home or two.
For more of a thrill, head over to Busch Gardens for roller coaster rides, a zoo and live shows. Finally, wind down at the Lettuce Lake Park. Check out the wildlife, including the alligators that often populate the area.
Frequent thunderstorms tend to be the trademark of Tampa’s hot and humid summers. June through September see the highest levels of rainfall all year. Then, when winter approaches, the area tends to dry up with temperatures dropping; however, the area usually only sees freezing temperatures once every couple of years.
