Philadelphia International (PHL) can be reached via I-95 (the Delaware Expressway) south from downtown Philadelphia. Expect heavy traffic due to the proximity to the city and the fact that this is the only major route that runs to the airport. Flight times are usually about two hours nonstop or between three and four hours otherwise, depending on connectors. After landing at Nashville Metropolitan (BNA), I-40 leads west to downtown Nashville or east toward Lebanon.

The capital city of Tennessee is one of the largest cities in the southwestern United States. Families will have a great time at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, the Tennessee State Museum and the Adventure Science Center. Nashville is well known for its flourishing music scene, which is reflected in locales such as the Ryman Auditorium, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Bridgestone Arena, Belcourt Theatre, Nashville Municipal Auditorium and the International Bluegrass Music Association. If you're looking for serenity, try the Centennial Park or the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.

Nashville has a humid subtropical climate and moderate variation in temperature. In January, highs average around 47 degrees, while they average around 89 degrees in July. Rain is average and rather steady all year round. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times of year to visit.
