Newark International Airport (EWR) is located in Newark, New Jersey, about 12 miles west of New York City. The easiest way to get to the airport is to take Lincoln Highway or the parallel Brewster Road to the appropriate airport service road. Flights to Nashville Metropolitan (BNA) depart throughout the day and nonstop flight times are usually two-and-a-half hours. You can reach Nashville by going west on I-40, and there are shuttles, buses and taxis available at the airport.
Nashville, Tennessee is known as the country music capital of the world, and since it's also the state capital, there's plenty to do here. Tour the Belle Meade Plantation, the Hermitage, Centennial Park or Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art. Visit the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, the Panthenon or the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. See a game at Bridgestone Arena or LP Field, or catch a show at the world famous Opryland.
Nashville has a humid subtropical climate that experiences sweltering summers, so pack lightly. Winters are often moderately cool, making this a great place to visit in the off-season. Spring and fall are pleasant, though on the warm side, and don't be surprised if you experience a severe thunderstorm during these seasons. Many travelers prefer to stay in one of the downtown high-rise hotels, which offer exceptional views of the city.
