Like most of Florida, Sarasota is prized for its coastline. Explore the sandier parts of this city with a visit to Siesta Beach. If you plan to spend much of your time in Sarasota at the ocean, select a hotel in Siesta Key. For easy access to restaurants and shops, opt instead for a location in downtown Sarasota. Regardless of when you visit Sarasota, you can expect relatively warm temperatures. In the summer, it can become quite hot in this region of Florida, so you are best to avoid June to September if you don't appreciate high temperatures.
