Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International airport (ATL) is located just south from Atlanta on I-85, a short drive from the downtown area, though there are also bus and light rail options available. To Lambert-St Louis International (STL), typical flight times are just over one hour. The airport is 15 miles down the I-70 from downtown, taxis are available just outside the terminal building. There is also a light rail option available that will take you to any part of St. Louis.

There's plenty to do in St. Louis besides visiting the 630 foot high Gateway Arch monument, although you have to see it. Missouri's climate is continental, with hot summers and freezing winters. Spring and fall get very wet indeed, so visitors are advised to dress accordingly. The city's hotels are mostly found downtown on the banks of the Mississippi River.
