If you’re arriving in Baltimore from Atlanta, you’ll have plenty of things to do during your trip to Maryland’s largest city. Baltimore is bustling with tourist attractions, sightseeing excursions, shopping, and dining establishments.
Pick up a rental car at Thurgood Marshall Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), and head downtown to the Baltimore Inner Harbor where you’ll find a variety of restaurants such as the Brio Tuscan Grille, museums and shopping venues near the waterfront area. It is considered the most popular landmark in Baltimore.
Take a cruise on the Bay by Watermark, and enjoy a tour of the city’s scenic attractions. While exploring the inner harbor, visit some of the surrounding renowned establishments, such as the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center.
Visitors to Baltimore can catch the MARC train, which is the city’s primary railway system. You can connect to the MARC outside of the lower level of the airport terminal. It runs through various locations throughout Baltimore and the downtown area. The (Maryland Transit Administration) MTA also provides bus routes through Baltimore and its surrounding suburbs.
The Amtrak train provides shuttle services at BWI, on the lower level terminal area. If you’re looking for popular malls, visit the Harborplace, and The Gallery near the Baltimore Inner Harbor, or the Owings Mills Mall.
The total flight time from Atlanta to Baltimore is about two hours. The rental car facility is located near the airport on New Ridge Road. Shuttle services to the rental car center are provided on the lower level.
