Early Career

Consisting of a trio of brothers, the Jonas Brothers got their start in 2005 when they were recognized by the president of Columbia records. Kevin, Joe, and Nick began touring in 2005 alongside main acts Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, and the Backstreet Boys. After several months of back and forth with the record label, the Jonas Brothers released their debut album in August of 2006. Included on the debut album was their hit cover of the song “Year 3000”. Early on in their career their music was created as soundtracks for shows and movies on both Disney and Nickelodeon. After only one year with Columbia Records the brothers were dropped, but not long after were offered a deal with Hollywood Records. After several public appearances in 2007, the brother released their second self-entitled album in August of that year. The album peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and featured the hit singles “Hold On” and “S.O.S.”.

Disney Channel

In 2007 the brothers guest starred on an episode of the show Hannah Montana alongside Miley Cyrus where they would perform the single “We Got The Party With Us”. They went on tour with Cyrus on her Best of Both Worlds Tour in 2008, and later that year they got their own reality show on Disney Channel called Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream.  After gaining some popularity from their feature show on the Disney Channel as well as several guest appearances, the trio got starring roles alongside Demi Lovato on the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. While filming their first movie for Disney, the brothers co-produced Demi Lovato’s Don’t Forget album. The success of Camp Rock skyrocketed the Jonas Brothers to fame, and they soon after not only landed a sequel to the movie but also their own original series on the Disney Channel. Years following their success the brothers would release several albums and tour worldwide as one of the biggest pop sensations of their time.

Split and Comeback

In 2011 the Jonas Brothers announced that they were going to be breaking off as a trio, allowing each of them to focus on their solo careers. During this time Nick branched off and toured on his own, and Kevin focused on learning more about music production. In August of 2012 the band announced that they would be headlining their first tour since their last Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam tour in 2010. After performing at shows here and there throughout the world, the brothers cancelled their highly anticipated release of their fifth album V. Due to creative differences and irreconcilable differences the Jonas Brothers announced in October of 2013 that they had officially broken up. Despite no longer performing as a group, they decided to release several of the tracks from V to members of their fan club who had stuck with them throughout their entire career.

Surprising their fans across the world, the Jonas brothers reactivated their social media accounts in February of 2019, a sign to many that the brothers had finally reunited and could be releasing new music. Via their social media accounts, the Jonas Brothers announced on February 28, 2019 that they had reunited and would be releasing a new album in the coming days. The first single of the album was released on March 1st. Entitled “Sucker” the single instantly shot to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The second single “Cool” was released the following month. With the remainder of the album expected to drop in 2019, fans are eager to see what other songs the pop sensations have up their sleeves.
