"This little boutique hotel was like staying in a wellness focused luxury treehouse in the jungle. We absolutely loved our stay. Lush greenery all around and from every window view. A gorgeous beach with excellent beachside loungers, towels, and a bar. The staff and service were exceptional at every moment of our stay. The AC also worked very well during our December visit. We stayed in a garden view room with a kitchenette. The cooking tools were minimal but enough to prep simple meals for two. The tacos and Pina Coladas at the onsite restaurant were delicious. Real ingredients and handmade tortillas. We enjoyed the morning yoga class as well. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful and slightly rustic refuge. Note: Rooms on the ground level are recommended for folks that have challenges with stairs. As two 40 year old fit and able-bodied folks, we did fine getting up the spiral staircase to the upper levels of the main building thanks to help from the staff with our luggage. "

"This is really safe and the food is excellent. Buckets of beer at the roof top bar are a deal! and the bartender up there is a really nice local that feels like he loves his job. pretty top tier i cant think of much they missed and the vibe is really well done. Perfect for a family vacation!"

"Absolute fantastic time here. Pictures don’t do this place justice. Was here for 5 days for my girlfriend’s birthday and we didn’t want to leave. From the outdoor showers, to the orange cat that was out and about. Our little treehouse room was so romantic. Would recommend 10 times over. We’ll be back soon. Big shoutout to Samantha and the rest of the azul team for always being so warm and helpful for everything and anything we needed! "

"Third time staying here and still an amazing resort but couldn’t help to notice they are slowly losing their personal touches that made it so special. 1st time was in 2023 and met with smiling faces, valet parking, gift package in the room. 2nd time 2024 all the same with a nice gift bag with sun screen, aloe and bug spray. 3rd time 2025, no valet, no gift bag, friendliest was dwindling and when asked for my car, they gave me my keys and said it’s in the dirt parking lot out back and I can get it myself. 5 star resort is going downhill…"
