"The staff was super nice but this hotel has really seen better days! It was fine as a stopover for 1 night but wouldn't want to stay longer. It was clean enough but everything is just really old and in need of a refurb. There was a pile of trash and broken glass at the corner of the balcony off of our room and a 'flower planter' full of very dead weeds, plus peeling paint everywhere. It was quiet though, and conveniently located. But Nevada City deserves better!"

"I often drive between the Bay and Reno NV for work and personal reasons. Last night I was too tired after a long day of working and stopped off as Colfax is about midway. I was pleasantly surprised, quick check-in and a comfortable bed. Good night sleep made the morning drive a breeze. Will stop in again when traveling if needed."

"This is a two star hotel with a very reasonable price. It is old and doesn’t have any charging setups -not many plugs at all. Road noise was very loud but we used ear plugs and the bed was comfy and air conditioning worked well. We would absolutely stay there again"
