About Houston Texans vs. Dallas Cowboys
Although these two teams share the same home state and are geographically close, they are practically strangers on the same playing field. The Houston Texans play within the Southern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), whereas the Dallas Cowboys play within the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC). The Houston Texans are relatively new to the league, only being established in 1999 whereas the Cowboys are known veterans of the league. Still being so young in comparison to most of the league, the Texans are still very hungry to bring home their first Super Bowl Title. On the other hand, the Cowboys are no strangers to bringing home a Super Bowl title, having a total of five in franchise history.
A History of Texans vs Cowboys
The series between the Texans and the Cowboys began on September 9, 2002 in Houston. Since then they have played a total of five times, with the Cowboys bringing home the most wins and points out of the series. Although they rarely play against each other, the past two meetups between the teams have ended in overtime, allowing the teams to battle it out even more for the win. The two are expected to play each other again for the first time in two years in September of 2020.
Being a young team, the Houston Texans have had their fair share of up and rising stars. Currently some of the most notable players include Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, Andre Johnson, and J.J. Watt. The Dallas Cowboys are known to have had some of the best players in the game take the field in their uniform, among them include Troy Aikman, Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, and Ezekiel Elliott.
