History

Previously AT&T stadium was known as Cowboy’s Stadium. This is due to the fact that the stadium is home to NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. The stadium was built in 2009 in Arlington, Texas. The stadium was a replacement for Texas Stadium which was home for the Dallas Cowboys from 1971 to 2008. The AT&T Stadium stands as the fifth largest stadium in the entire NFL. It has a seating capacity of around 80,000 seats. The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is tied with the AT&T stadium for capacity.

The stadium not only hosts professional football but many other events such as concerts, basketball games, and soccer matches. Also, some high school and college football teams play there as well.

Cotton Bowl

The stadium hosts the Cotton Bowl Classic. The Cotton Bowl Classic is a NCAA Football post season bowl game that began in 1937. Every year, two elite NCAA Division I college teams are selected to compete against one another for the bowl game title.
