The room was in good condition and the staff was courteous when available. I didn’t like the fact that staff was sparse and all the fees that were connected to checking in amenities etc. those are the things that will prevent me from using public again.

clean rooms excellent bed, staff incredibly helpful and kind. only draw back was we had a two double room for two people who dont care to see each other in the bathroom. you must consider two people sharing a room might be brothret and sister or father and daughter. perhaps add tinting to the bathroom glass in those particular rooms to increase yopur patrons comfort.

The PUBLIC Hotel places far more emphasis on its restaurants, bars, and café than on the actual hotel experience. With noticeably limited staff throughout the property, it’s difficult to get timely or consistent customer service. The rooms also lack many standard amenities like bathrobes, slippers, body lotion, and other basic toiletries that you would expect from a hotel in this price range. Overall, the stay felt underwhelming, and I wouldn’t recommend the property, especially when there are many other hotels in NYC that offer a more comfortable and guest-focused experience.
