We arrived late afternoon was given our room on the 5th floor, only one small elevator which was already at capacity, we got our room which was very very tired, usual things hanging off, bathroom not brilliantly clean, no hot water, and constant droning throughout the night from next doors aircon

Great location. Train station outside door. Plenty around area to eat and do. great friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. Rooms quiet, clean. Elevator can get packed and only 1 for guest. Will stay again.

Ideal location to explore the city without paying full Times Square prices. Only reason for not giving 5* is that I had an item of clothing disappear from my room - I fully believe this was accidental but obviously affects my impression.

Very friendly hotel staff. Clean hotel. Breakfast had selection of pastries, toast cereals Yoghurts all very nice. Subway right beside hotel. Shops and amenities all close by. Main attractions like times square madison square garden and empire state building only 10 mins walk away.

The location was great. We could walk to Times Square, Macy's, and even to Central Park. The room was really quiet, and we slept great. The breakfast had protiens, veggies, and lots of other healthy options. The lobby smelled really strongly of room fragrance, and the toilet ran all day and night, but otherwise it was wonderful.

Our stay at the Hotel Stanford was nice. The hotel was about where we needed to be. The room was certainly clean and the bedding was comfortable. A couple of things about the room however. The heat never really warmed the room to our desired temperature, so it was off by a few degrees and between the super water saver shower and the not all that hot water temperature, the shower never felt much more than warm. Midnight is not when I want to be dealing with hotel issues like this, so we let it be. Also thought it was a bit pricey. We stayed in the same neighborhood last year, about the same date and it was much cheaper.

Very convenient location for what we wanted to do in NYC Wish the water pressure and the showers were a little bit more forced to and it would have been nice to have a few more books to hang our things. The morning, breakfast was a nice convenience. And it was very nice to have coffee and tea Throughout the day.

Good location, not as cozy as I’d hoped

Hot water was difficult to get for the first day and a half. Rooms do not actually have temperature control so saying there is “AC” felt misleading, but I recognize it’s been unseasonably warm. The staff did bring up a fan and were very kind and attentive. Room was pretty loud during the day due to construction outside but it’s the city so that’s pretty expected for a building of this age. If you need to work from the room or sleep during the day I might consider another option. The location is fantastic! Even with all of this I would stay again if I needed to be in this area of the city

Staff was nice and helpful, room and bathroom seemed clean, location was fine and price was reasonable, pillows and sheets had some sort of unpleasant smell that made it hard to sleep. Old building, very small elevator. If traveling with family make sure everyone has their ID as the needed ID for everyone staying in the room. Would not stay there again.

The room was clean, albeit unremarkable. The staff was excellent. Friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was a bit lacklustre, but given the central location and the likely pricing of breakfast nearby, “included” was a pleasant option. Depending when you arrived, the scrambled eggs could be cold and I have never seen hotdog pieces served as a breakfast item. Perhaps more pastry/muffin selections could improve the overall experience, but we were not disappointed since we had planned for the possibility of worse. Overall, charming hotel with character in a bustling, central location. (Wish they had more than one elevator, but I understand the limitations of the space.). Great weekend and a lovely hotel.
