Staff was not as friendly as I had read about. And on our last day no hot water to shower, called front desk and told boiler was getting fixed. No apologies or anything upon checkout. Location was convenient but wouldn’t stay there again.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Nice elegant lobby though freezing temperature wise! Bathroom had extensive peeling paint on inside of door hair on wall of shower even though it had been cleaned they just missed that part, and stained curtains. Maybe because we booked on Expedia we got a substandard room? Will not stay there again but was interesting to try it out due to its history.

Table lamp on desk would have helped - room was SO dark! Also weird to have letter from staff addressed to someone other than me in the room, bummer to not have food available at roof bar, and shower handle broke so I couldn’t turn water off. I’ve stayed at the Empire at least 3 times before and it’s been great. This time was fine but not great.

It was good. I think Pets should be kept on lower levels. I also think room checks - there is always something broken or missing lol- we expect it now. Also windows need to always be able to be available. Even if it’s just a wall we are looking at. Having a curtain that won’t raise is very weird feeling. The staff is outstanding, however!
