Excellent staff! Love the free waters everyday. This hotel is in an excellent location. Very walkable, excellent dining options and next to Central Park. Room was smaller and older than expected but not a total disappointment. If you want a luxe experience look somewhere else but it’s a very decent room to just crash in after long days of exploring the city. Super comfy bed but loud ac in our room also flickering light in shower but nothing totally bothersome. Our family stayed on first floor and heard street noise all night so maybe consider requesting room higher up.

Check in was terrible and the hotel rooms are old, painting walls falling apart, the lamps are broken, the carpet looks musty and dirty asf. The only place that looked decent is the lobby. Also, on the 2nd balcony floor going towards the restaurant Rosa Mexicano, there was a man sleeping on the couch , he had his “stuff” all over the place and was messy. I’m not sure if he was a guest or an contractor..: either way, it wasn’t a good look.

Pool was closed for the season, I’m a little mad because I specifically searched for a pool and that’s on Expedia to not have that information. The location was great and the room as clean. But we were two women travelers and they put us in a a room with a. Windows that was directly into another room and could be viewed from multiple other rooms and nearby buildings. And no shades on the window. Just a long drapery that didn’t fully close. We used hair clips to get it to stay full shut and a suitcase on one end to hold it against the wall.

Great location but unfriendly staff checking in, was having an issue with fraud alert on my card and desk attendant very impatient. Ended up with holds in two different cards because he wouldn’t wait . I was also very surprised at how small the room was. Additionally , a child vomited in the pool making it unusable , I did not see any action by staff to clean quickly and the pool was a big reason we chose this hotel

The lobby is presented very well and the staff are very helpful and attentive. The rest of the hotel feels very dark and dated, we needed a torch to see our room number. The first room we were placed into felt dark and damp, we had to be moved rooms due to cockroaches. The second room was entirely different and had this been the first room we were checked into, the review would have been entirely different. There were no issues with the second room whatsoever and it was finished to a much higher standard.
