We were never notified about our room being ready. We showed up at 4:30pm with no room available. The staff was extremely rude and not helpful. The air conditioning was stuck at 68° and the refrigerator didn’t work. A minimal discount wasn’t even offered

The room was so old and outdated. The furnishings were peeling, the carpet and the furniture looked like something they found in a garage sale. Obviously, they think they can get away with that because the building is historic. The plugs in the wall were limited and either did not work or were loose to the point they would fall out. They had several plugs on a multi plug cord that was definitely a fire hazard. We had to call maintenance because we couldn’t turn off the shower handle and the toilet wasn’t working properly. There also was an annoying noise that sounded like a drill that would start early in the a.m. We were sent an email shortly before our arrival saying the pool area was closed and that was why we booked the Omni. We were told we could use another pool at another hotel. Are you kidding me? We had robes in our room but were told we couldn’t keep them. Who would want to,,they didn’t even match. Amenities were very limited. The Keurig coffee maker shut down a couple times. The sheets on the bed were ripped. Ice machine in hallway didn’t work. We did not get room service because we opted out to help with “supposed” hunger organization. The balcony needed upgrading and that was another reason we booked this hotel. We got a great view of the side street with people walking by, but nothing else. The entry foyer has stairs to get to the elevator. Elderly or disabled people have a real problem. Getting luggage to room was difficult. A plus, good location.

When we arrived we were told the pool was closed due to construction but we were able to access a pool a block a way to make up for it. We heard zero construction noises and the staff were very nice and attentive!

We like the Omni normally. We stayed for 3 days and no one ever came to clean our room. There was literally no place to throw the trash by the end of the trip. Maybe they were short staffed but i would normally expect more from the Omni

The room was sub-standard. I'm surprised that it passed minimum standard for such a popular name. It was not a full room; more a half room. What seemed to be under a staircase was in a corner of the room. The only window was a half window, like in a cellar. The bathroom was so small that the toilet paper holder blocked access to the toilet. The clock didn't work; the lamp was out. You just can't believe how bad this room is unless you see it. It's room 734. Don't book it.

I booked a courtyard room for our 10th wedding anniversary back in May of this year. The room we were given had a window that faced the wall and was about as clean as Bourbon st. Access to the courtyard was sketchy at best. Besides the lumpy bed and mini pillows, the grossest thing in the room was the fan above the shower. It was disgusting. Being right next to the ice maker and elevators, which barely worked, made for very little quiet. We get it, its the French Quarter. For almost $1000 for 2 nights, this was not worth it. Half the hotel seemed under renovation and thats understandable and unfortunate for all the guests. Overall I would rate .5 stars and will never return to this hotel. I remember when four star hotels meant something. Not at the Omni in New Orleans. Save your money and stay anywhere else. The Travelocity app and system, which Ive used for years, let me down as we prepared for this weekend and the booking, payment and receipt process are unreliable and misleading, at best. Beyond never wanting to stay in such a dump again. This will be the last time I use Travelocity for anything. Absolute waste of time and energy. Paid for trip protection and that is also useless. Expedia owns Travelocity and that makes perfect sense when you think about it. What doesnt make any sense is using any of these apps again. If I could, I'd demand a full refund and more because people go through enough and shouldnt need to put up with this level of incompetence. What a joke

Photos deceptive of room size. Smoke alarm light strobed all night disturbing sleep. Disappointing that no place of interest maps (of immediate area, historical and dining) provided to guests. Concierge desk knew little history of the hotel. One would expect at an Omni to have drinks & snacks available 24/7, when the kitchen is closed. Check out hour says 12 noon on the room door, but told it was 11am with no extension for even one hour making us wait in lobby for Uber to airport.

It was under a lot of construction when we went. It will be nice to see when completed. We picked hotel die to pool and pool was closed. Wish they would have let us know. Luckily they gave us access to a hotel’s pool that was in the neighborhood.
