Overall, my family and I had a good stay at this apartment. The location is convenient, and the place is large and decently equipped. However, a few things put a damper on our time: First—beyond what is a typical short-term rental experience of things like baseboards and walls being dirty—it seemed like some larger things had been missed when cleaning between guests (e.g. the couch having food and other debris in it). The host was very quick to respond when we reached out to ask about a vacuum cleaner or for the cleaning company to return but, at one point, began to imply that we were only complaining in order to cause problems/potentially try to scam her. I had never had such an experience before with a host. We did end up smoothing everything over and she organized the cleaning company to come back the next day; the lovely cleaner was quick and efficient. The rest of our stay was uneventful. But it was definitely not the best experience I’ve had in Montreal or with short-term rentals.
