The staff was friendly and the check in was quick and easy. The room was larger than expected. The room was clean, beds were comfy and the hardwood floors were a plus since we were in town to scuba dive, wet gear and sand came in the room with us. This room was more than we expected for the rate we paid. I would definitely stay again. A hidden gem for a quick over night stay when you are not looking to have a beach front.

Dan is an amazing manager. He gave us an excellent stay at Carmel Hill Lodge. We also had a pet with us and they were on top of cleanliness and room service. They also had a dog area which was super helpful in our stay. When we come back to Monterey, we will be staying here again. Thank you Dan!

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. The gentleman that checked me in both times is nice and friendly. The rooms I have stayed in are updated and clean. I like the amenities in the room. There’s a blow dryer, iron, ironing board, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave.

Vintage vibe facility but clean room and huge unit space. We did not get breakfast but the review option keeps asking me about breakfast 🤔 plenty of parking. Heater/AC unit is a bit loud but my family and I had a cozy night’s sleep.

Room was quite old and worn, bathtub was chipped, flush was constantly getting jammed. Walls were peeling and the baseboards were broken, Ironing board cover was torn . Sink did not have a stopper and the faucet poured a thin stream of water. Shower made a lot of noise.

Water started dripping from the vent that is in the bathroom directly over the tub. Preventing us from showering. Also the lock on the door to access the room kept failing on us. The owners of the hotel didn’t want to refund us.

The room was very nice and cleaned. The manager was nice and friendly. He promptly brought us more coffee and creamer as we requested. The only down fall was that there is no blackout curtains to cover the light coming in at night. Just folded up and down wooden vertical blinds. I have better sleep when no light coming from outside.
