"Property was fine. Low value for the money now though because they don't have amenities like breakfast, pool, or hot tub.
What I want to call out for others in the review though is that they sent out a pre-trip email which contained a number of things that just weren't accurate.
"We will be sending you an email so you can check-in before you arrive, and (almost) skip the lobby entirely. Simply show us your ID, and we’ll handover the key. Less time. Less paperwork. (Less surfaces.) More time for good things."
They sent no check-in email.
"Unfortunately for the time being there won’t be the traditional Basecamp breakfast as the CDC guidelines for food service prohibit our breakfast offerings. To help with the “breaking of the fast” we’ll have some pre-packaged breakfast goods for sale."
There were no breakfast goods for sale.
"All our usual amenities will remain open -- hot tubs, decks, fire-pits, yard games. To comply with social distancing and ensure the safety of our guests, we will be utilizing a 1HR reservation system. All bookings can be made from the lobby and will be first come first serve."
Most of the amenities were unavailable, including the hot tub/pool. There wasn't a reservation system.
I understand that COVID times are hard and want to give hotels a break wherever possible, but sending out communication that inappropriately sets expectations isn't a great strategy."
