I liked where the property was and most of staff was helpful. We had a stain on our couch and the property said it was cleaned but it was still very visable. luckily we were able to get someone to help us and we switched rooms.

The Sofitel Chicago is an excellent hotel in every aspect but one. During our trip the hotel was full due to the Chicago Marathon. Unfortunately, top capacity coincided with several elevators out of service. At best, this meant waits of 3-5 minutes for a car, and then trips of approximately the same length. At worst, this meant being stuck for much longer periods. The lobbies and floors would crowd, guests were irritated, and international incidents barely avoided. But for the constant elevator issues throughout our stay, this would have been an entirely excellent visit.

Mom and daughter weekend in Chicago

We enjoyed our stay and were upgraded to the 30th floor. Good location! Unfortunately bar service was poor in bar as they got my drink wrong and was given a look like it was my fault. Very slow service to get our bill. I think they were understaffed. Overall we had a great time.
