The hotel was listed as a 4 star. I have stayed at many high end hotels and the one isn’t close. The carpet in the hallways were stained and old, the lights were dead, there was a weird smell, the room was clean but outdated, the sink did not drain.

The hotel is in a great area, close to both the Magnificent Mile and the Gold Coast. So good walking, eating and shopping. The hotel gym, on the other hand, is small, cold and bereft of signs telling users to be mindful of others (like not playing your phone at full volume). The facility is open 24/7, but the nearest bathrooms may be locked.

Exceptional emplacement, close to the shopping district and the beach. The hotel is beautiful and full of history but would need some TLC a bit like changing the carpets. The bed was very comfy and the shower was great.
