"Great westside location. Clean, spacious room and bathroom. Walking distance to Westwood (restaurants, bars, museums) and easy access, including public transportation, to the beaches or downtown. Staff is very friendly and well-trained. Highly recommend this place if you are looking at something on the Westside."

"A heritage building full of character with a SUPER convenient location! While you definitely visually see its age in the hallways and rooms, all is maintained well and clean. ALL of the hotel staff (front desk, manager, valets, maintenance, housekeeping) that I met during my stay, from mid-day to late evening (I’m not a morning person) were SUPER helpful, kind and empathetic. I cannot thank them enough for their assistance during my stay (April 23-29/26, Room 430). It truly felt like a home away from home with the staff the community. My stay was unusual (cleared out a local locker, locker contents was delivered to my room) and they were all accommodating with this challenge of mine. A couple of minor issues: TV needed maintenance to fix it twice, coffee maker was defective, housekeeping switched it out, hotel cards were very sensitive to credit cards/cellphone, so I needed replacements several times I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Santa Monica. It will be my only choice when I come back. Thanks again to Elina, Diana, Francisco, Roderick (?) and all the staff! I wish I remembered everyone’s names."

"Everything was good but was originally given a room facing the freeway. The doors are all messed up because the said the back end was recently remodeled due to the recent fire. So there were huge cracks due to the doors not installed properly, you could hear the excessive noise of the freeway. I asked for a room change and they first said there were non available, so I asked if something could be done to the door then. After the maintenance guy came out to look at the door he confirmed that the door was hanging so they then moved us to another room. I would definitely stay there again but make sure you are not assigned a room towards the back"

"We had a very nice stay at The Pierside Santa Monica. The location is excellent—just steps from the beach and very convenient for walking around the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was fresh and very tasty. The only downside was the parking. The valet service is quite expensive, which was surprising since the parking appears to be in the same building as the hotel. Overall, a great stay thanks to the location and service, but the parking cost is something to be aware of."

"They had the most loveliest and helpful staff ever! Amazing selection of restaurants and they had a good and clean room. I just feel weird about their being resort fees they charged per day bur it wasn’t a resort and had one pool only. "
