Lambert-St Louis International (STL) is located just northwest of the city of St. Louis, Missouri. The access highway is the I-70, easily reached from the city center as well as from other directions. Flights usually last for over two hours to Miami International Airport (MIA). MIA is about eight miles down the 836 highway to downtown Miami; taxis are available just outside the airport's terminal building as are MetroBus and MetroRail stations.

Famous for its nightlife, Miami is probably the US city most likely to go all night. Food and drink inspired by Latin flavors are available in famous venues like Toro Toro and VERO, and you can always go dancing to thumping Cuban beats that will keep you moving until you drop. For those who want a break from their mojitos, there is the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens that take you back into the city's past. Basketball fans can go to the American Airlines Arena and watch the Heat play. After all this, it's easy to flop down on one of the many beaches and relax.

Miami's hotels are mostly found in the downtown area, close to the beach. There are also quieter options available in the surrounding area as well as on the Keys. The weather in Florida is hot and humid, so travelers are advised to dress lightly. Be warned that hurricane season last from June until September.
