If you're flying out of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and arriving at Miami International Airport (MIA), you'll have plenty of time while aboard the plane to plan your vacation itinerary. Be sure to include a visit to the city's white, sandy beaches. Whether you want to relax under the sun or enjoy numerous watersport activities, the popular beach areas are Miami Beach and South Beach.
Stop in the downtown area and get a taste of Miami's diverse culture, delectable restaurants, popular boutiques, skyscraper buildings and more iconic attractions. Mary Brickell Village is an outdoor mall full of shops and restaurants, such as ATIK SHOP. Catch a Miami Heat game, a concert or other events at the American Airlines Arena, or learn more about Miami's vivacious culture, at the Miami Art Museum and History.
Miami International Airport is about eight miles away from downtown, and the MIA Rental Car Center is just one mile from the airport. The MIA Mover connects to the airport, and provides transportation to and from the rental car companies. Interstate 95 is main highway that runs through Miami. You can also connect to SR 112 and SR 826.
You expect a flight from San Francisco to Miami, to last between five to seven hours depending on the number of stops. The MIA Mover is located near the moving walkway on the third level.
