Flying from Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) gives you a great opportunity to get away for either business or leisure. When you arrive, you can head three miles north of the airport to Airport Lakes Park to get in some leisurely outdoor time, before you're off on your next adventure. The park is a good place to stretch your legs while you're deciding what to do next.
One of the things you'll probably enjoy here is having access to so many theme parks. See the joy on your kids face as they meet their favorite characters at Disney World. At Universal Orlando, you can explore several fun worlds within the park, perfect for all ages. For both the young and young at heart, there is a theme park dedicated to Legos; LEGOLAND Florida. If you enjoy wildlife encounters, you should consider stopping by Gatorland, or the Giraffe Ranch, which is in nearby Dade City.
The flight from Indianapolis to Orlando takes about two hours. For the best chance of getting around easily, you should rent a car at the airport. When you're traveling by car, give yourself extra time to get to attractions on Friday nights and Saturdays, because traffic congestion is at its worst. Consider taking advantage of toll roads to enjoy less traffic during peak times.
