Austin, Texas, offers its visitors plenty of fun activities to partake in during a stay, which include discovering local music downtown, and canoeing on Lady Bird Lake. After picking up a car rental at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), you can take time to grab dinner at the Roaring Fork in the Warehouse District, and then head out to enjoy the fun of nightlife downtown.
Austin is the capital of Texas and offers city and nature views from the Colorado River, which flows through the city. Interstate 35 provides a convenient transportation route to Waco in the north, and San Antonio in the south. Houston is about two hours to the southeast, along I-10 and TX-71. In Austin, make sure you visit the Cathedral of Junk and Barton Springs, a natural pool in the center of the city.
The trip from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Austin will take you about two hours on a nonstop flight, but it can take up to five hours, depending on your airline and layovers.
