With more than 50 million visitors each year, Orlando is definitely a city with plenty to offer, regardless of whether you're in town for business, pleasure or a combination of the two. While commonly associated with Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World, the city has plenty of shopping and dining attractions worth visiting after picking up your rental car at the Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Aside from the theme parks, Orlando is also home to a world-class arboretum at the University of Central Florida, home to more than 600 plant species. If you're looking for some other sights to visit in your rental car, consider a drive to the Orlando Science Center, or check out the bizarre artifacts and uniquely fascinating displays, at the appropriately-named Ripley's Believe It or Not! Orlando Odditorium.
It will take about two and a half hours to get from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), to Orlando International Airport. You're not likely to have any difficulty finding an affordable ride in Orlando, since the city is considered the largest car rental market in the United States.
If you do visit the major attractions, you'll find a delightful selection of restaurants and shops at Universal Studios' CityWalk and Downtown Disney at Disney World.
