Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is located eight miles from the state capital’s downtown. The airport terminal and all parking options can be accessed via Bastrop Highway, but shared rides, public buses, taxis and shuttles are available for public transportation.
Typical flight times from AUS to Orlando International Airport (MCO) are two-and-a-half hours nonstop. Most flights, however, will require one layover. You can reach central Orlando in about 20 minutes going north on S Semoran Boulevard and then west on the 408. Rental car companies, shuttles, local buses and taxis are available at the airport.
Orlando is a popular tourist attraction with something for all ages. It’s the home of Discovery Cove, SeaWorld, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Walt Disney World Resort.
Visitors can also visit Lake Eola Park or Harry P. Leu Gardens to enjoy Orlando’s nature, or take in a show at the Mad Cow Theatre.
Orlando's climate is tropical and humid. It has two annual seasons: the hot and rainy hurricane season, and the dry, cooler season lasting from October to April. Even the lowest annual temperatures rarely drop below 48 degrees, so pack light for your Florida vacation.
