The Nassau Straw Market is a collection of shops and street vendors filled with local craftsmen who create objects like hats, mats, baskets and wood carvings, most of which are made from native palm trees.

It is warm all year round in Nassau, although the months of May through September are a few degrees warmer, consistently averaging in the mid-80s. That same timeframe represents the wettest season in Nassau, with extremely heavy rainfall regularly, although other months of the year can also be said to be very rainy.
