About Brittany Howard
Most known for being the lead guitarist and vocalist of American rock band Alabama Shakes, Brittany Howard is no stranger to the music scene. From performing at the White House to Lollapalooza, she has no boundaries for her music. Winning four Grammys contributes to her success but has not been a reason to stop. Brittany is just getting started by branching out from her band and debuting solo. You won’t want to miss out on her talents. Grab your cheap Brittany Howard tickets today!
Humble Beginnings
Brittany was born in Athens, Alabama, growing up just like any ordinary child. Her sister served as one of her early musical inspirations, as she taught her how to play the piano and write poetry. Unfortunately, tragedy struck her family when her sister died of cancer. However, circumstances didn’t prevent her from pursuing music, as she then picked up the guitar at 13. Brittany later met Zac Cockrell while attending East Limestone High School, and he would then go on to play bass for the Alabama Shakes. But before getting her big break as the lead singer of Alabama Shakes, Brittany had an ordinary job working for the US Postal Service.
Journey to Success
Alabama Shake’s debut album, Boys & Girls is what caught the eye of ATO records, quickly signing them on. That debut album earned multiple Grammy Award nominations, which emphasized the talents of this group. Their second album, Sound & Color, made it to the Billboard 200. Their fame only got bigger after appearing on many shows such as Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. But being in just one band wasn’t enough for Brittany, as she is also the lead singer of the rock band Bermuda Triangle. Yearning for change, Brittany has recently decided to explore the unknown of being a solo artist. Proving to fans there’s no time to waste, Jaime hit stores September 20. Brittany decided to title this album after her sister, but reinforced this album is about her, and the journey she’s been on to get to this point. Fans are eagerly waiting for tour news but for now you can listen to her new song, “History Repeats” to get a taste of the album.
