NHL Global Series Tickets

The National Hockey League (NHL) is one of the premier hockey leagues in the world. While the vast majority of the games are played in the United States and Canada, the league is composed of players who come from all over the world. In an effort to expand the brand and recognition of the NHL, the league has instituted an annual event termed the NHL Global Series. During this series, games are played outside of the United States and Canada, giving the league more exposure and giving fans of the NHL from all over the world a better chance to see this top-level hockey take place. The NHL Global Series will be returning for 2019 and tickets for the series are available.

A History of the NHL Global Series

While the NHL has played games outside of North America in the past, the series returned in full force in 2017. That season, the Colorado Avalanche and the Ottawa Senators traveled to Stockholm, Sweden and played two separate matches on back to back nights in the Ericsson Globe. The series was split with each team winning one match. The following year, building on the success of the prior season, there were five matches played in Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, and Finland. The matches were split between October and November. The New Jersey Devils, the Edmonton Oilers, the Winnipeg Jets, and the Florida Panthers all competed in the NHL Global Series in 2018. Because of the success of the NHL Global Series in 2018, the Global Series will be returning for a 2019 version.

2019 NHL Global Series Tickets are Available

The NHL Global Series is returning to Europe in 2019. There will be several teams from the NHL participating such as the Chicago Blackhawks, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Buffalo Sabres. These games will be played in Prague, Lausanne, Berlin, and Stockholm.
