Lots of homeless people in the area. They didn’t bother me but I’m a fairly big guy. Would have been nice to have a limited breakfast at least since there is a restaurant. Even just cereal and pastries. Medical is nearby so every call will bring out the emergency vehicles at all hours. The worst though is the street crossings that beep every two minutes day and night.

My favourite Victoria hotel

I love staying at the Rialto hotel. Rooms are well appointed. All my stays I had no problem with noise - my rooms were always quiet. Air conditioner works great. Lots of good restaurants around but I like their Palms restaurant. I am a diabetic and prefer low carb food and drinks. They had no problem accommodating my requests. Everything at the downtown is a walking distance from the hotel. I will be returning.

The Rialto was an easy walk from our daughter’s high rise over the bridge to Esquimalt. Staff was friendly. Room was cleaned daily. Bedding was very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and the heated floor a treat.
