The Port Authority West Busway provides easy access to the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Taxis and shuttles are also a great choice, as the airport is only 16 miles away from the downtown area. Flight duration is just under five hours to Los Angeles International (LAX) Airport. Take the FlyAway Bus to get into downtown Los Angeles or other parts of the San Fernando Valley. Taxis and shuttles are also readily available for transportation to your final destination.
To get a taste of the fame and fortune of the Los Angeles area, take a tour of the Hollywood Walk of Fame and see the stars whose names have been immortalized on the ground. The TCL Chinese Theater, home to movie premiers like Star Wars back in 1977, is near and tours are available daily. To take a break from the crowds, consider a hike around Griffith Park and a tour of the Griffith Observatory. This is a great place to see the entire city, seated right up next to the ocean.
March to May and September to November often have temperatures that linger in the 60s or 70s. This makes it more enjoyable to be outside. In the summer, temperatures rise and the smog in the air tends to increase. Trips around December to February tend to have cooler temperatures, and they do come with some rainfall in the later months.
