Very clean, modern and attractive room of medium size with a simple, clean, Scandinavian look. Very close to Horizon and City cruise terminals .. a 10 minute walk tops! I did not try the extra charge continental breakfast buffet. Handy to ships and everything! Two blocks from coach and train stations.

Budget hotels can be ok but not at this hotel. Poorly ventilated and dirty room completely lacking in any facilities. The skeleton staff are okay but there are too few rostered to allow for any expectation of service. Avoid this hotel unless there are no other options

Bed was surprisingly comfortable, everything else what you expect from a budget hotel, including grumpy disinterested staff on check in. Smile wouldn’t have hurt, or maybe it would! However if I need a cheap room anywhere else I’ll use this lot again, if I get a smile at the next check in maybe some from Ibis has read this, whoa!

Weird a bit unsafe as people were entering booked rooms and shocking people, because of all that a restless sleep at the Ibis budget Southampton, on that note I will choose somewhere different next time. X

Room was very small...there was no separate space to change in privacy. The macdonalds was just outside our room...very noisy at night with loud music and young kids. The window was sealed and locked. Ventilation very noisy. Shops are close by and easily walkable to the port prior to our cruise. Amenities very basic. Furnishings very dated and basic. It is surprising that the cost of the room double whilst ships in port and then drops afterwards....

Akshae was wonderful at check-in. V friendly and helpful. The second chap sorry i don't know his name was excellent when the room wouldn't open. No hair dryer or plug sockets nr the bed. Sheets just lie on the bed. Not fitted. Team lovely. Location great. Tried to call 3 times before stay but no pick up or ability to leave a call back message.
