A very charming property, keeping an old Victorian style traditional feel. The bedroom was beautiful with a lovely feel.
The spa facilities are good, just a shame they don’t offer treatments etc.
The food is good, basic traditional British food, buffet style.
The only 2 things on the downside were the very creaky flooring throughout the property- I imagine it would cost an enormous amount to renovate due to the age of the building. Also, being so close to the beach, parking is at a premium- and very expensive!
The staff advised us on some alternatives i.e cheaper public parking locally, which did work albeit a bit inconvenient.
With a little upgrading here and there, this hotel will continue to deliver lovely holidays to local and foreign tourists alike.
The staff were very nice, helpful and accommodating.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, for anyone looking for traditional and relaxing British beach holiday experiences i.e in-house entertainment, close to beach and pier amusements, plus a some more culturally diverse culinary and entertainment choices in the surrounding streets and the town centre.
