"Just got back from my birthday trip to Margaritaville cap cana and was very impressed! When we got to the hotel we were greeted with the margarita popsicles as promised and we upgraded to a second floor swim out suit in the main building (definitely recommend)! We thought the point system at joes merchant was actually better than an in room mini bar, although we did read some reviews that people didn’t think they received enough points, I thought they were enough for a couple beers every day and some snacks as the bottled water is free everywhere around the resort and stocked in your room daily. Also with the hotel being all inclusive there was enough alcohol that I sure didn’t need a plethora in my room. The beach does have a lot of seaweed but they were out there scooping it up everyday and it didn’t stop us from getting in the beautiful ocean (if you do not mind walking 2 minutes down the beach which is what they call the swimming area than you should be ok, but you can also swim at the beach right by the hotel just be slow when entering to not stub your toes on any rocks). All of the staff in the entire resort were phenomenal and took excellent care of everyone! We thought we heard plenty of jimmy buffet music and there was plenty of entertainment. As for the restaurants the steakhouse and Italian were by far our favorites but try and steer away from the New York strip as all of the other cuts are better quality. Buffets were great, they had build your own marg"
