Hotels in Park City
Park City is a town surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains, and three world-class ski resorts. While the area got its start from the discovery of silver, today Park City is proud to combine this rich history with art galleries, fine dining, luxury resorts and outdoor activities. Visitors to Park City are sure to enjoy the new and old historic sites like Utah Olympic Park, Park City Miners Hospital, and the Summit County Courthouse Museum. However, if you're more interested in rubbing shoulders with Hollywood's elite, try to schedule your trip in January during the Sundance Film Festival; one of the most well-attended film festivals in the United States.
Park City is a 40-minute drive up the I-80 from Salt Lake International Airport (SLC). Car rentals are available, but there are also shuttles that run from the airport directly to Park City. Once you're here, getting around the town by walking or using the free public transportation system is easy.
Hints and tips
There's little doubt that Park City is most popular during the winter. However, visitors during this time should make sure to dress for snowy conditions; high temperatures hover around 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and average snowfall reaches 143 inches in town. Summer travelers, on the other hand, will enjoy mild weather; the average high rarely reaches above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. During these months, guests can ride the alpine slides, go mountain biking and visit boutiques.
