Very nice stay. My only complaints were that I had t had to wait about 10 minutes before someone came to the reception desk to check me in (it was shortly after midnight), and the bathroom door to my room would not close. Everything else great.

the room at 5th floor was like a chip motel, extremely old, smelly no working A/C, bathroom old and water drain not working in shower, no good lights. Lobby area without furniture or spacious areas, no amenities at all. the price was way to expensive for this hotel and room. I think it was the worst hotel I have ever been. what a shame for a New York hotel.

A/C in room wasn’t staying cool, asked it be looked at, was cool for one evening and went back to not being cool again. Mold inside the air vent, mold in the shower. For a “newly renovated room” meh…. Staff was nice, lobby was always jammed packed due to the recent renovations. If you want fridge or microwave need to ask for that. If you check in early and room isn’t ready (which is like any other place) either stick around or plan to wait 30 plus minutes bc EVERYONE comes back to check status of rooms around the same time.

The location is the real gem here! For the price point it was great to be walking distance from Times Square. Every night you can go and your there within 5 min. The hotel itself was not the best. It had a mouldy smell walking in. Had an Ick using the bathroom because there was no fan hence the mouldy smell. The walls and corners were a bit warped n gross. The heating system also dirty. The staff however was kind enough to give us a higher floor because k had noted it was our first time there and was kind enough to check us in earlier. All in all if on a budget this is a good option, if you can splurge maybe another

Location is perfect. There is drinking water & ice. Facilities need to be upgraded. Very antiquated. Room is dim as lights were busted. No ref too. Our AC was not functioning. Price is not that cheap. No lobby.

The reception staff, door staff and the housekeeping staff while we were there were friendly and helpful. Our Premier room with added "To Go" basic continental breakfast was very satisfactory for the price in the NYC Times Square area. The pastries/bagels were good. The small lobby and elevators do get busy during peak times 8-10am when people heading out for the day or with larger groups arriving/ departing. The bedside wall mounted lights did not work in our room so we just used the floor lamp and made due when returning to our room in the evening. First one to shower did have to wait for water to warm up for a few minutes but otherwise enjoyed nice hot showers in the am. Couple of minor recommendations: 1. Our room 2202 was clean and comfortable and enjoyed a city view but did not have a luggage rack which would have been convenient and worked well under the wall mounted TV so we kept it on the floor when bed in use and put most of our items on hangers, on shelf or drawer space. 2. box of tissues in the bathroom 3. we didn't ask for larger towels to be washed/replaced during our 3 night visit but when we left 2 used facecloths on bathroom floor after first day, they were not replaced again but one hand towel was. Was not a big deal overall. We would definitely recommend The Manhattan in Times Square to others for their renovated/updated Premier rooms and will definitely return upon another visit.

The room service/cleaning was less than mediocre. Found hair on the bathroom counter and floor. Looked like no one swept or scrubbed the sinks and shower. I asked for a hotel manager regarding a situation; however, no manager came out to speak with me. Instead, the receptionist Diane tried to help me. I appreciated her but wanted to speak with the manager. And, good luck in trying to call down to the front desk or the hotel operator, no one picks up the phone! The worst part, the walls are way too thin! You can hear clear conversations and other personal enjoyments coming from the other rooms! Not so happy with that especially if you are trying to sleep. It is also extremely disturbing! Speaking of sleep, our door kept making weird noises like someone was tapping on our door, we would check but no one was there. The tapping would continue for sometime every night the whole time we were there. This prevented us from falling asleep easily since it is not so easy to rest thinking someone is right outside of your door. Another bothersome thing was that they never left you enough toilet tissue so when you ran out you had to call room service (again they do not pick up) or when you see someone from the hotel you have to ask for more tissue and they would only bring one roll at a time! If they had only left us a few rolls like normal hotels do there wouldn’t be an issue! The only saving grace was Josephine from the front desk. She was the BEST! I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is centrally located, we were very pleased with the area, walking distance to Times Square, Broadway and Central Park we took a taxi to the 9/11 Memorial Museum but most of the time we walked. Front desk as well as all employees were very hospitable and friendly, the hotel is under renovation so taking that in consideration overall is was great especially since the room is a very good size only complaint hubby had was the mattress which I'm sure they will change with the remodeling.

It’s over priced but it was ok in the end was really worried because of the reviews I was seeing but we paid for a premium room so it wasn’t as bad as the regular rooms everytime we would get on the elevator to leave we would get asked by other guest what do we think of it everyone was saying the rooms are horrible the ac didn’t work in most of the rooms ours included the mattresses where also horrible but we didn’t spend much time in the room just sleep and shower but definitely not worth the over 1800 dollar price tag

I checked in and was greeted by friendly and courteous staff they were the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, everything went downhill once I reached my room. The bed was unmade, there was toilet paper left in the toilet, food (looked like fried rice) spilled all over the floor, cracks in the walls, and the radiator was hanging off the AC blasting hot air. The room was filthy and in unacceptable condition. I went back to the front desk immediately to check out. The staff member was very polite and helpful, but their calm reaction made me think this wasn’t the first time they’d heard such complaints. I ended up booking a room at the SpringHill Suites instead, which was a huge improvement. Pros: Friendly and professional staff Cons: Extremely dirty room Poor maintenance (cracked walls, broken AC/radiator) Unhygienic conditions Area didn’t feel particularly safe or clean
