Pros: good hot water in shower, nice toilet paper (none of the cheap stuff!), comfortable master bed, flexible with check-in and luggage drop off, suggestions for nearby shopping and restaurants, bus stop around the corner, affordable for New York. Good place to drop your stuff and see the city.Cons: communication with host lagged. Linen for the 3rd bed (a pullout in the living room) did not include a top sheet, the building lobby smells like urine, and probably because of that, the apartment smells quite strongly of febreeze -- so be advised if you have asthma. And the apartment was pretty cold (it was winter and admittedly, we are from Phoenix -- but even with the space heater running, it was still only got up to 65 degrees in the master bedroom until about 11 pm when the radiator kicked in. I had brought a heating pad for some muscle pain, but I was using it for warmth!).Summary: It's not that I've just never been to Harlem before. I've lived here and stayed in a few Harlem apartments before -- compared to all those other experiences, this was adequate, but not great.Final note: as another previous review mentioned, the host changed the address at the last minute, saying that VRBO was reverting to a previous address and she was trying to clear that up. The address change didn't affect us all that much and didn't appear to put us in a particularly worse part of the neighborhood, but it seemed a little off to me -- something is going on there.
