I had a a very challenging experience after the first night there was a mouse in my room. I had to relocate to another room once I unpacked and got in that room found the plugs weren’t working properly in the room didn’t have all the required utilities so I had to move to a third room. It was the most depressing experience I’ve ever had in a hotel, the front desk the people who work there were really nice. I do have their names very sensitive to what was going on, but the engineer that was responsible to get the mouse did not care and pretty much just said OK. We gonna have to find you another room. I left my phone and iPad in the second room they relocated me to after having a pack, unpacked and repack they call security and security did not bother to respond to the call. I had to actually go to the front desk and let them know I tracked my phone to the previous room and it wasn’t until then that he got up to come unlock the door so I can get my items out of that second room I had to move to because another problem was it’s a cashless hotel I guess so they weren’t able to accommodate giving out change so I could leave tips for the room service..

If you’re looking for a spot on Bourbon St and just need a bed, this is all you. Stayed 5 days for my anniversary. Waited until almost 5pm to get in our room. Cold water on the bathroom sink was broken and shut off at the valve. Desk lamp was shattered and put together with glue. Satellite tv worked 50% of the time. Cleaning tag was left on our room door handle every day and we only had our room serviced once (our last day). Morning breakfast gets the job done. The staff running the show in the morning over there are top notch. Very good people. Pool area needs work but probably better than swimming in the bathtub. Really need to improve on keeping the bums away from the front entrance. Got the job done but not impressed.

Not What I was Expecting

The stay this time was not so great. I asked for a room which was disabled accessible. The room still came with a bathtub. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. Which made it very difficult when it came to heating up leftovers. I usually have good stays when I come to The Crown plaza. This time was not so great.

Wonderful hotel and staff, loved the security feature of having to present your key to get in after 10 pm and scanning your key in the elevator to get to your floor. Beds were super comfy and the room was super clean. Very kind front desk staff. Loved the proximity to bourbon st and restaurants/shopping.
