Asked for a refund within 1 hour of check in and was refused. Desk lied to booking agent. The whole experience was terrible. Check out is at 11am, was locked out of my room at 9:45am"

And ... my credit card wasn't charged for the room, but a hold was put on my card--purportedly until the cleaning staff had cleaned and checked the room. And then, I was informed the "security" charge would, in 3-5 business days be refunded (or--and this wasn't clear--whether the room rate I booked through Hotels.com, would be deducted from the withheld monies, and the balance credited to my credit card account). I've never heard of such a thing, nor experienced it at any other lodging facility."

"Whole place smelled bad. Had to carry luggage up the stairs as there was no elevator. Bathroom door had a large piece torn off of it. There were stains on ceiling in the bathroom that looked like mold. And there were handprints and some questionable stains on the headboard. Thankfully was only there for one night but even that was one night too long"
