Not Recommended – Felt More Like a Long-Term Housing Complex than a Hotel
I did not feel comfortable staying at this hotel. It appeared to be occupied largely by people on short-term or extended leases rather than travelers. There was a lot of activity in the parking lot, including a person standing right outside my room near the AC unit, which caused unpleasant odors to filter into my room immediately upon entering. Children’s toys were scattered around the outside of the property, and there were two grills set up with people cooking and congregating.
The pool was being used by people who did not appear to be hotel guests, and several groups were hanging out near their vehicles, smoking and socializing. The overall atmosphere felt more residential than that of a hotel meant for travelers needing short stays.
Inside, the hallways were visibly dirty, and the entire facility felt very rundown. There were also three or four rundown campers parked on the side of the lot that looked like they had been there permanently.
I informed management that I did not feel comfortable staying and asked for a refund. They returned my deposit and some miscellaneous fees, but not the full amount. I chose to leave and booked a different hotel in Providence, RI.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. It felt sketchy and unwelcoming.
