Room was spacious with great balcony and ocean view. Food was surprisingly really good! Riu parties were a great bonus being located on the property. Beach was beautiful. Only complaint is the size of the pools and the repeativeness of the buffets. Overall would recommend visiting.

Amenities clean, good service, food okay but not great. Don’t like the fact that they don’t put bath soap in the shower. The shampoo is the bath soap as well. I got a rash due to that. Decent resort.

The room service and cleanliness of the property were excellent. However, there were more things that were not. The internet was never reliable, the television had no access to any entertainment apart from scheduled programming and there was no way to access the screen to use it from a laptop, for a film. Also, the television was intermittently pixelated when a program was watched.Apart from a boiled egg or certain salad items, the food was poor quality. I found pieces of plastic in a drink I ordered. The seating in the spa area was ridiculously and dangerously low; straw club chairs that nearly touched the ground. The property was beautiful as were the beaches. I’d return to Cancun, but would not stay at another Riu resort.

Facility is very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly, professional, and accomodating. The food made me sick on multiple occasions (it tasted good, but gave me some GI issues). The wifi is weak and rarely worked in our room.

The staff was friendly and cheerful. The property was lovely and kept up on a constant basis. The hotel fell short on a few points for me. The cuisine, whether in the main dining area or speciality restaurants, was tasteless, luke warm, and overall far from appetizing. When I inquired about a nearby restaurant, that individual shared he had heard the same comments about the food from other guests. Upon arrival my room was not 100% ready for me and had to inquire more than once to have a maintenance person come to my room and repair the issues. After a long trip this was an unnecessary inconvenience. Overall, the vibe caters to a "Spring Break" crowd and could be more diversified with activities and where the activites are happening. There is a board in the lobby, however, its a guess work where the specific events are happening.

Riu may have set the bar pretty high for all inclusive hotels. The food was great, the beach was lovely, and the themed parties were so much fun. Staff are attentive and work very hard; Antonio and Jacqueline from Coral, in particular, were incredibly friendly. Overall, we had a great experience at Riu Caribe and we look forward to coming back.
