Use State Route 163, I-8 or I-15 to connect to I-5, which will bring you to the San Diego Lindberg FLD S. Diego (SAN) Airport. Using the Amtrak or the Coaster trains, it is possible to get to the airport from as far away as Los Angeles or as close as downtown San Diego.
The flight times to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) are usually 90 minutes long on the way. Taxis, shuttles and rental cars are readily available. The TRAX rail is located at the end of Terminal 1 while the TRAX bus stop is outside of Terminal 2.
The Temple Square encompasses Salt Lake City’s culture with several buildings to explore and experience. There are times when the Mormon Tabernacle Choir will be performing in the area. Spend some time outside at Big Cottonwood Canyon and take advantage of the various trails and hiking opportunities. When snow is on the mountains, skiing is also an option.
Visitors from November to April will be able to experience the powdery white snow, while the months of May through October often bring about thunderstorms.
