Salt Lake City International (SLC) is a joint civil-military airport located about four miles from downtown Salt Lake City, and it can be reached by using I-80 and I-215. Flights usually last for three to five hours to Chicago Ohare International (ORD), and upon arrival in Chicago, you'll be near interstate routes 90, 290 and 294.

The Chicago Bears play their NFL home games at Soldier Field, baseball has two major league teams here, the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Cubs, the NHL has the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team here and the NBA's Chicago Bulls play their home basketball games at the United Center. The Art Institute of Chicago is a world-class museum with hundreds of thousands of artworks from all around the globe and is particularly known for its Impressionist and post-Impressionist paintings. Michigan Avenue and the Magnificent Mile is one of the most attractive boulevards in the entire country, with numerous galleries, boutiques and specialty shops. The Navy Pier opened in 1916 as an amusement area but is now a famous shopping center and tourist area featuring historic amusements from the original park.

Winters are often cold and windy in Chicago, but do not generally include huge snowfall amounts. Summertime temperatures are usually between 78 and 95 degrees, often accompanied by high humidity. Springtime months are usually the wettest of the year, and autumn months are often the calmest.
