Typical flight times from DEN to Indianapolis International Airport (IND) are two hours and 30 minutes to five hours and 30 minutes, depending on stops. After landing at IND, the I-70 will take you east from the airport to downtown Indianapolis.

The city's most well-known attraction is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where the Indy 500 race takes place yearly. Family attractions include the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians, the Indiana State Museum and the Indianapolis Zoo.

The humid continental climate of Indianapolis means it is quite cold in the winter (28 degrees average in January) and warm in the summer (75 degrees average in July). To try to avoid the rainfall, visit between August and October, but packing an umbrella is always recommended, as this city is prone to unexpected showers.
